Boris Vallejo

Boris Vallejo (January 8, 1941) is a Peruvian painter who immigrated to the United States in 1964. Vallejo began painting at the age of 13. He attended the Escuela National de Bellas Artes on a five-year scholarship before emigrating to the United States in 1964, at the age of 23. He quickly garnered a fan following from his illustrations for book covers of Tarzan and Conan the Barbarian, which led to commissions for movie poster illustration.
