Development - Making a mistake with an upload and trying to undo it?

I only noticed some distracting black edges from a poster I uploaded and trimmed the picture to have them removed just now. The upload is still pending, and there's no option to undo it to fix, except upload another one?
Is there a way to undo things like this when a mistake is made (another thing, I wrote comments on the kind of poster it was and the year but I thought that was for mods to go over, I didn't know the full comment would be on the actual page?). If not this would save a lot of problems. And a "private" comment function to provide further info and context just for mods to look at would be good too.
Do I just upload another one for the time being?
