Something that could be very interesting for everyone: we have the country information for every movie, but it doesn't appear anywhere, and have no real use. I guess that sometimes, more than searching "american" posters, or "spanish posters", we are searching for "original posters". If we have the country for each poster, and country for each movie, we could use that for:

-Main poster: not putting the main one by bigger USA poster, but bigger original country poster.
-Filter poster: we could have for example this in filters if we add the "original country":

Add a website restriction: Country: US, SP, OC (Original Country, just a suggestion, it could use any letters of symbols).
Or only: OC

Most of films are from USA, and that's what I use when I searching the original country version mainly, but of course, maybe I would prefer to see French version of Amelie instead of USA or my own country one, not having to change filter each time. Some people may want to see even only the Original one.

Ok, I'm not sure if this is the right place to report this, but I just ran into my own fan art poster in here:
http://www.movieposterdb.com/poster/1c044760

which probably originates from my DeviantArt gallery:
http://mruottin.deviantart.com/art/Battlestar-Galactica-poster-118507511

It doesn't piss me off too much since I know I'm the only one in the world who has this in hires (and as a poster on my wall)...

...but I just thought it wouldn't be right for the other users to list it as an official Battlestar Galactica -poster/cover...

Ok, thx for telling. At least it wasn't marked as Poster but Unset, so it wasn't explicit it was official. It's good by the way.

Anyway, lately I was deleting most of the customs when I'm 100% sure. And you aren't too much pissed off, but at least you must be a little so well, better for everyone I guess. If you find any other of your works here, just tell us.

Thx again

Hey guys, I'm having a problem. It seems like anytime I try to download ANY poster when I look at it after its downloaded only half of it is there, the bottom half is grayed out like the rest of the picture didn't get downloaded. Can anyone help me out with this? It's not my internet connection, because I have a really good one, but I was just wondering if it was possible to fix this because I dont want to waste credits by getting only half or less of a poster. I know FOR SURE it's not the ACTUAL poster thats messed up, because I downloaded one of my own to check this and it was grayed out halfway too, even though my original wasn't.

Edit: If this isn't the right place to post this, please direct to the correct place, Thank you.

Why can't I request a poster of 'The Big Fix'(1947), IMDB # 0039185?

This film doesn't appear on the requestlist.

Just a small typo (I think):
The message after uploading says:
"You have successfully uploaded a poster. It will be modirated by an admin for approval..." That should be 'moderated', right?

to Dogiehogan : I upload a combo including "The big fix". Probably this "short" movie (runtime 63 min.) always was presented that way.

Again, a small typo:
One of the 'illegal upload' errors says: "...height has to be smaller than 5000 pixels and height has to be bigger then width." (It should be 'than', not 'then'.)

Sorry to write this here but the related topic is locked and since I don't know the system here(is it closed for good or just temporarily?) and this topic seems the closest here it is:

again a problem with adding posters for the non existing titles on the site, mine is with IMDb number "0888817" & "1329665" .For both titles I get the "Incorrect IMDb number..." message.
Drarakel User

I don't think it's a bug. These IMDb numbers are for single episodes of a series. Uploading Rule #4 says:
"No posters for specific episodes, only for movies or series!"
There is an entry for the series itself:
http://www.movieposterdb.com/movie/0182576/Family-Guy.html
The uploads should go there (provided that the images are eligible for MoviePosterDB).

OK,thanks for the answer.

The api seems to be having issues querying titles with apostrophes ( '
) in them. Error status "invalid api key is being returned." I think
it has to do with add / removing slashes again.

Examples She's out of my league -> Brooklyn's Finest -> Valentine's Day

There also seems to be issues with titles with dashes ( - ) in them.

Nothing is returned for Kick-Ass or Step Up 3-D

Both titles exist spelled exactly as search for as well

http://www.movieposterdb.com/movie/1193631/Step-Up-3-D.html

Also, Searching for Eclipse, or Twilight Saga: Eclipse returns Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

Hopefully I am in the right forum. Can I post a posters using the embed code, or img id to my my profiles My Space, Facebook etc.. after buying and downloading? What is error message "no hotlinking" movieposterdB.com?

The possibility of using an embed code has nothing to do with your downloaded posters. You would have to upload the file again - e.g. at one of the image hosting services - if you want to access it online.
