This has happened before: I check to see if a poster has been uploaded, check to see if there are different versions of the same one at same resolution. If not then I upload.

Today I did the same with this one at 07:34

There was only one lower resolution upload at the time I uploaded my 2025x3000 version

Why then does user: xyz get the credit?

Has this happened to anyone else?

This is really frustrating and unfortunately it does happen to others too. The most likely explanation is a timing issue where both of you uploaded within such a close window that the system processed or indexed the other person's version first, even if yours was technically uploaded earlier. Resolution doesn't always determine who gets credit on these platforms.

It's also worth checking whether xyz uploaded to a different platform or source earlier and it was just mirrored or reposted, which can sometimes confuse attribution systems.

Best thing to do is reach out directly to the site's support with your upload timestamp as proof. Most platforms will correct it if you can show clear evidence you were first. Has xyz responded if you contacted them directly?
