OMFG, that Red Eye / Airborne is unbelievable. If it was not in IMDB I would bet it is a custom... But, to be honest, is not plagiarism, the fingerprints of the hands doesn't match, and if that's good enough for a murder investigation, it's good for this too.

Yeah, it's not a direct copy. It's 'rebuilt'. 😁

But that Midnight in Paris/Xing kong thing is nice, too.
Well, I guess, the latter one stayed closer to the original, which is "De sterrennacht" by van Gogh.

And have you noticed the titles?
Painting: Starry Night
Movie (international title): Starry Starry Night 😁

Yeah, but it was done quite after Midnight... Second one is of course closer to original, but I guess it was necessary for Midnight as the idea was to mix a true Paris with that one. I'm not to much into cantonese, but looking at the international title maybe it's not a correct translation I think, google translator at least says Xing Kong means "Star Air", I guess something like Stars in the Sky then... so the change to be like Van Gogh English translation could be just made after the poster 😝

Anyway, just found it an interesting coincidence being even the same year.

An obvious copy of the idea, that was made quite better (and having a meaning) in the original.

Never said it was, this is just about plagiarism, it can include not final poster ones too, teasers, concepts...anything (but customs, of course). By the way, the final one isn't better really.

Great selection Daug, some are quite impressive coincidences. Though probably Hoodwinked are intentional (spoof). The gun in the head are great, and the Uncharted/National Treasure... it's the same torch and hand! Pure copy/paste lol

Hisss/King Arthur is also too much coincidence, same direction, same turns... good one.

The Uncharted one is Fan art. And I agree with Komond, the Hoodwinked ones a definitely spoofs.
